The Countdown has begun to digital television in Pembrokeshire.
On August 19th, analogue television signals will start to be switched off across the county, replaced by higher power digital signals.
The main mast at Preseli which serves the whole county and feeds signals to the smaller relays on the fire station in Pembroke Dock and the Greenhill mast overlooking Milford Haven is ready for the digital switchover.
Digital UK - the organisation responsible for overseeing the digital switch over will hold a number of roadshow, drop-in advice centres in Pembrokeshire.

Overnight on August 19th, the first analogue channel to go off air will be BBC2. The channel will be the first to broadcast the high power digital only signal. From 6am, on Wednesday 19th August, viewers with aerials pointing to the fire station in Pembroke Dock and the main Preseli transmitter mast in Crymych will for the very first time receive a range of BBC digital TV channels including BBC One and Two, BBC Three, Four, CBBC and CBeebies.
Viewers in Milford Haven who receive their signals from the Greenhill transmitter overlooking Rhoscrowther and viewers in Tenby will see the changes come into effect on Wednesday 26th August.
In order to watch these channels you will need to acquire a digital decoder, either a freeview box for digital tv through your aerial or a digital satellite receiver using a subscription service such as Sky or the free satellite service called Freesat.
From September 16th, BBC One, ITV1 Wales and S4C on analogue will then go off air, with those services being replaced by digital only signals. (The Greenhill and Tenby transmitters will switch finally on 23rd September)
The switch to digital tv will be complete.
